Live Music at 7:30

Dance Instructor: Jaime Shannon and Tony Fraser teach Collegiate Shag

Who’s the heppest? Will it be New York favorite, George Gee, who brings his Chick Webb–inspired 12-piece combo to defend the heritage of the Savoy Ballroom? Or will it be left coast darlings Dean Mora and his Modern Rhythmists, representing Los Angeles’s mid-’60s Palomar Ballroom with its Roaring ‘20s take on swing and its focus on period arrangements? Dress in your red, white, and blue vintage finest for an intermission fashion contest.

The Liberty Belle Extravaganza is a vintage Fourth of July rooftop celebration so spectacular, it is on two of NYC’s hottest rooftops—the Empire Hotel and The DL! Celebrate the stars andstripes all night long with a combo ticket. $40 guarantees you entry to both The Liberty Belle and Midsummer Night Swing, so you can freely go between both events, only a block apart.
