Long Island Traditional Music Association (LITMA) and Swing Dance Long Island (SDLI) are teaming up for a Contra / Swing Dance. Singles and beginners welcome and no partner necessary.

Brooklyn Swing Ensemble
Its members include Sam Zygmuntowicz (fiddle, mandolin); Danny Elias (clarinet, dumbek), Bill Peek (piano, guitar, banjo) and Joe Depaolo (percussion). With all that talent, they whip up a storm that’ll rock your socks off. These are the kinds of musicians who can do most anything and tonight, they’ll provide both swing and contra dance tune sets.
Eric Hollman Caller / Dance Instructor
Eric Hollman is a popular swing and Cajun teacher and contra dance caller in the Hudson Valley and beyond. His motto, “If you can walk, you can dance,” combined with his lucid teaching and infectious good humor, ensures a happy time for all.

Directions: The Brush Barn is set back & not easily seen from the street located behind the Epenetus Smith Tavern at 211 Main St, Smithtown NY 11787. It is on the north side of Route 25 about 1/10 of a mile east of the intersections of Route 111, Route 25 (Main St) & Route 25A.

Swing Dance Long Island, Inc. (SDLI)
Swing Dance Long Island, Inc. is an all volunteer, not for profit organization dedicated to the promotion of swing dancing on Long Island, New York.
Join a friendly group of people every Tuesday evening for a mix of East Coast Swing, Savoy Lindy Hop, Hollywood Lindy, West Coast Swing, Balboa, Collegiate Shag and some Ballroom dancing. No partners are needed and beginners are welcome.

Brush BarnThe Smithtown Historical Society’s Brush Barn is located behind the historic Epenetus Smith Tavern at 211 East Main Street, Smithtown NY 11787 and is not visible from the street. About 0.2 miles east on Main Street from the intersection of Route 111 and Route 25 (Main Street). There is a white house that is #211 (Epenetus Smith Tavern) and a gravel drive beside the house.

Saturday, Jan. 17th, Benefit Dance: “Mostly Swing Dance” at the Centereach Knights of Columbus; Rudy will be donating his services to this event; the K-of-C is raising funds towards a scholarship grant for selected high school graduates from Centereach and Newfield High Schools. I hope some of you can come and join me - Rudy will give East Coast Swing dance lesson at 7:45 pm to 8:30 pm. Admission: $15 per person, includes cold/hot food buffet, soda, beer, etc. “Mostly Swing” Dance mix by Rudy;
